Awesome rolls with great daily specials. Love getting sushi here. Good portion sizes too.

Because of construction, it has been so much more difficult to access my fave sushi place. Consequently, I have sought out other places for my sushi cravings. I was there later in the evening so only one other couple was present. However, I did see several takeout orders prepared. I always order too much - and that was the case here. I had the Sweet Mango, a roll filled with crab salad and avocado topped with mango pieces and tuna. I loved the combination of flavors. The mackerel nigiri was okay, tasty (acidic, salty), but smaller. It also did not have the fatty mouthfeel that I would have liked. I only had a few pieces of the Crazy Horse roll, shrimp tempura with crab salad topped with crab stick and avocado. The service was fantastic. That evening, there were three servers, all of whom took turns bringing out food, beverages, etc.

To Go is how we've eaten 90% of our sushi from Sushi & Rolls, but they have a nice dine in area too. (We usually get them in conjunction with takeout from Leo's or Pancheros). Lunch roll specials are good - 2-3 smaller rolls (like spicy tuna or California roll) for under $15. They have 2 large roll specials daily (specific to each day of the week), but they let you choose your 2 (off the list) on Saturday or Sunday. I usually get the 2 larger rolls on the weekend because my favs are Yam Yam (Tuesday) and Crazy Horse (Thursday). PS Try these two and thank me.

I've walked past this so many times and decided to give it a go based on their advertised lunch specials. It turns out they have quite a few lunch specials to offer! When I walked in and asked about the lunch specials, they jumped into action and showed me a menu that clearly laid out what combinations I could get for $13. They also had extravagant roll specials based on Weekdays but I didn't need to splurge that much. I ended up picking up the "Cali Special" since it seemed like the most bang for my buck - 3 rolls for $13 works for me. I waited almost no time at all. Less than 5 minutes later, I had paid for my lunch, and was out the door. The sushi itself was a pretty solid choice! The sushi itself wasn't mind blowing (though I did basically get three different versions of a basic California roll), but it was reliably good and worth the value. I was hungry and can eat a lot of sushi, but didn't even finish it! This place is a solid choice, especially if you're looking to pick up something quick during your lunch break. I'll have to come back and try some nigiri or more ambitious rolls.

My boyfriend and I ordered delivery from here through MI Meal Time, a new Doordash-esque delivery service. We ordered four rolls, and the total was about $56. We ordered these rolls: -Tempura Sweet Potato roll - fantastic if you're vegetarian or like veggie sushi. I really enjoyed this one. -American Dream roll: Cream cheese, crab salad, avocado, cucumber and shrimp tempura with spicy sauce and eel sauce. -Firecracker roll: Crab salad and shrimp tempura topped with crabstick and spicy sauce. -Caterpillar roll: Eel, crab salad and cucumber topped with avocado. I'll admit that I'm a little bit of a wimp when it comes to sushi. I know I like veggie rolls and I've had the caterpillar roll before, so I ordered that and did enjoy it. The American Dream roll was the one I "took a gamble on," taste-wise, and surprisingly I liked that one the most. My boyfriend really enjoyed his Firecracker roll too, and said he would give the restaurant 5/5 stars just for that. The rolls were very generous portions, as well - the American Dream roll was too big to fit in my mouth so I had to bite into it twice, which I know is usually a "no-no" when it comes to eating sushi. Each roll contained ten pieces of sushi, I believe. Overall I would recommend this place if you are looking for some good sushi.

Tucked away in a little strip mall off of Haggerty Road is is Sushi and Rolls Restaurant. Honestly, I have driven by here many times and never noticed it before, but on this Friday night, I was looking for some sushi and up it popped on Yelp! Their menu has a wide range of offerings from traditional rolls to sashimi, soups, and they also have daily specials so be sure to check them out. On this night- I ordered for pick up the "Tuna Lovers Roll" which was basically a spicy tuna roll with more tuna on top, and then hamachi, tuna and salmon sashimi. The sashimi was thick cut of fish and very well presented. The roll was more basic and I will probably order more spicy sauce on my next order. When I came to pick it up, they were doing a bustling take out business and a few of the tables had customers at them. It's a small but friendly place. The sushi chef and the server both welcomed me to the restaurant and thanked me for my business. I would go back just for this great customer service! The fish was fresh, my order was ready on time, and there is plenty of free parking in the lot. What's not to like?
